House Cleaning Professional

Having a cleaning professional is a blessing for homeowners as they take on the rigors of house cleaning, giving relaxation to homeowners. Unfortunately, only some cleaning professionals are there to truly help you. Some are making quick bucks, and you need to beware of them. Look for red flags to differentiate them from good cleaning professionals.

Here are some telltale signs of a bad cleaning professional.

1. Very low rates

While quality and price are not synonymous, they are indeed proportional. Good quality services come at a higher competitive price. If someone offers lower prices than the usual rates, it’s a red flag. Hence, research the market rates in your location and make a decision. Price is always one of the deciding factors, but you must consider all other factors too.

2. They are not registered

Most reputed and professional maid cleaning services are registered under state laws and pay taxes. However, fraudulent service providers don’t go to the lengths of registering themselves and getting the proper licenses required by the state. If you ask for registration and licenses and the cleaning professional cannot provide those, it is better to steer clear of them.

3. No permanent address

In the world of the internet, no one bothers to go and check the office of a cleaning company. You either call the phone number on the Google business page or go to their website. While convenient, you must remember that having a permanent physical address is essential. It shows that the company exists in real life. Scammers often create fake websites and put details online to get money from you. However, when asked for a present address, they fumble. Therefore, always look for a permanent address.

4. Lack of insurance

Any professional service that involves equipment comes with risk, and unforeseen incidents can occur, injuring the cleaners or a family member. In such an event, if the company doesn’t have insurance, you may have to bear the financial burden.

However, professional companies ensure that it doesn’t come to it as they take proper insurance to cover such eventualities. If a cleaning company doesn’t have adequate insurance coverage, it is wise not to hire their services.

5. They don’t have the tools

Reputable cleaning companies use their own cleaning equipment and products that are safe for your home and the environment. However, achieving that spotless and perfect cleaning is only possible with the right tools. If a company asks you to provide the tools, you are dealing with an inferior quality cleaning company. While you do have the option of asking the company to use your cleaning products if you prefer, they should have their tools handy and not depend on you.
